School Marketing Photographer

South of England- Dorset, Somerset, London and beyond

Are you ready to STAND OUT?

I'm a Photographer that specialises in school and education photography for marketing, advertising and content.

Together we can create imagery that tells prospective parents the story of your school.  As a photographer with 15 years experience in branding, and a parent myself, I understand the importance of showcasing what sets your school apart to potential families. I will work closely with you to ensure that each image sings of the school's values and vision

Renowned for my eye-catching, energetic, evocative school photography, I travel throughout the South of England providing school photography for websites, advertising, marketing materials and prospectus.

Together we'll create modern prospectus and website imagery that captures the feel of your community. We'll build a fresh and diverse image bank for you to draw from time and again, and capturing the school spirit, curriculum, pupils, sport, technology, staff,  pastoral care, and extra curricular activities.

I look forward to working with you.

How it Works

We will start with a no-commitment phone call so that you can ask any questions and  I can understand your needs. We'll cover what is different about your culture and learning environment, how you plan to use the images to engage parents and we'll discuss the photographs you already have. We'll then decide how many shoot days you need. I'll confirm pricing and if you want we can also agree dates at this stage.

We'll then put an initial shot list together, going back and forth to make sure we've considered all angles. How can we best convey what makes your pupils proud of their school? How can we show off your technology and facilities? And how can we use imagery to convey the intangibles; the community, the sense of family and warmth?

After that, you'll be ready to draw up a timetable for the day, working with your staff, room availability and school timetable. I'll always be at the end of the phone to answer questions.

On the day we'll start work efficiently to cover everything you need, going from location to location to photograph the whole school. We'll be flexible, allowing time for rain showers, outfit changes and including any last minute 'must have' shots!

What happens after your school shoot?

I'll head back to my studio to process, edit and retouch. Your high res images will then be ready to download within 10 working days of our shoot. I can provide images in any digital format you need, and if you need images faster I'll always do my best to help.

How do the schools I work with use their images?

I shoot a variety of candid and naturally posed images, and always include copy space in plenty of those shots. My shots are full of versatility, from hero photos to image bank shots that can be used for a variety of purposes. Photos are used in advertising, PR and marketing, on websites, social media and school prospectus.

We can also work to a very detailed, specific shot list if this is your preference.

My images have recently been published in Town and Country Magazine, Sherborne Times, The Sunday Telegraph and The Financial Times.

How much does School Photography cost?

To create a full set of new images for your school prospectus and website I recommend at least two days of photography. If you are a school that offers boarding, or has a large campus with many facilities a longer shoot may be more appropriate.

If you already have existing imagery or you are a day school one day may suffice. Since each school shoot varies please message me for a customised quote.

Camilla Bashaarat, Head of Marketing, Hanford School, Dorset

"I commissioned Amelia for two full day shoots at Hanford School in order to update our photo stock which was rapidly looking rather out of date.   Amelia was a pleasure to work with and extremely professional.   We could not be more delighted with the amazing photographs that Amelia produced; they really do capture the essence and individuality of Hanford, the beauty of its buildings and grounds and most importantly, the happiness of the girls.   I have no hesitation at all in recommending her and very much hope to work with Amelia again in future."

FAQs

What do I need to do to prepare for our school shoot?

I will go through everything you need to do in advance, usually on the phone. The primary things are, compiling a detailed shot list, ensuring the appropriate rooms are available when we need them, and having students set aside where necessary to be in the shots.

How far in advance should I book?

I am currently booking for the Summer Term now.

Do you only work with independent schools?

Whilst the vast majority of my photoshoots are with independent schools, I regularly work with multi-academy trusts, state schools and special educational needs schools.

What happens if the weather forecast is poor?

If the weather isn't good enough to get great results we'll postpone to a date that suits us both within a couple of weeks of the original date.

What if we're further than an hour from North Dorset?

Any additional costs such as mileage or accommodation will be in your initial quote.
